It has hit. Spring is upon us! With Texas weather, you never know what is going to happen day to day. It is sunny and hot one day, and windy and freezing the next (or if you are from West Texas – this can all occur within an hour, we have bipolar country land). I am thanking God that this past week has been full of warm days so my handsome little tikes could be outside more. It also means I had a reason to break out my summer clothes, and start slowly moving my long – sleeve things to the back of the closet.
I know my husband loves taking pictures of me while I boss him around on where to shoot, what to do differently, and ask him a billion questions – but he does a stinking good job!
My sister – in – laws have great taste, and I just love it when they pick things out for me. Jess got me this gorgeous shirt, and I am obsessed with it! I don’t tend to gravitate towards picking blue items, but I have been able to wear this top so many different ways! It is a knitted fabric, and is soft and airy – so kept me cool during our 70 degree day today.
Even more than the color, the detailed fringe on the sides of this shirt have me like – OMG😍!
Pastels are a staple for spring, and they are so diverse. This purse is a Target find. It also has a strap I used most of the day as a cross – body. It isn’t too large which makes it an easy carry, and made a perfect accessory for this outfit.
These scalloped shoes – neutral, and freaking adorable. I found these at the cutest little boutique a few weeks ago, for $20. I thought they were so unique! Scalloped anything is super hot right now, so I hear.
I tried some walking pictures, and it was like “hmm, let’s just got back to still posing”. I am not a cute walker according to pictures. So I think I’ll just stick with letting the clothes talk in these fashion posts.
I love a good pair of Kendra Scott earrings as much as the next person! I can only wear the bigger styles so long before the weight of them makes my ears hurt. Buttttt, they add some super cute dimension to any outfit. No pain no gain! And I think this is by far my favorite color on my hair. My rockstar stylist Virginia does a kick – ass balayage!
Now off to sifting through the summer wardrobe to find clothes that cover less. We do after all live in a town that has the highest recorded temperature in Texas.
